"Every vote counts, and every voice is critical in this upcoming election, says Gary Hirshberg, Stonyfield Farm President and CE-Yo. One of the most important things we can do in the coming months is to encourage our customers to register to vote." They have inspired, educated, and tickled the funny bone of countless Stonyfield Farm yogurt-eaters. Now, they are committed to a higher calling - getting out the vote this November. "Your vote matters - Make your voice cow'nt" is the message carried by five to six million Stonyfield Farm yogurt lids during August and September. The presidential election is Tuesday, Nov. 2. Stonyfield Farm has partnered with Working Assets to encourage people to register to vote. During the months of August and September, a promotional message will appear on 6 million Stonyfield Farm yogurt lids to encourage consumers to register to vote. Consumers are directed to Stonyfield Farm's website www.stonyfield.com where they will be linked to Working Assets' online registration form. "For the past few years, Stonyfield has been using our yogurt lids as mini-billboards to address issues important to our consumers - global warming, healthy foods in schools, and support of environmental initiatives. This fall, Stonyfield is encouraging people to take those discussions one step further, and support whatever side of the issue they're on with their votes." Gary Hirshberg Learning more about social, health, and environmental issues is important - using that newfound knowledge to act is what Stonyfield hopes people will do. |
