Rejuvenation
Get Out the Vote
National Campaign

"I believe that many Americans don't fully appreciate the importance of their vote. Our votes in national elections are no longer simply about determining the future for Americans and our children. Today, America is the most powerful nation in the world. Who we elect as our president affects not only us and our own national security, but it also deeply affects the health, future and security of the whole world. Yet only Americans — and only those who choose to vote — can make that difference." Rejuvenation Founder Jim Kelly

Rejuvenation kicked off its Get Out the Vote campaign by sponsoring Portland's Bridge Pedal - the largest community bike ride in the country. This was an opportunity to reach nearly 20,000 people with our Get Out the Vote message. During Bridge Pedal events, we offered voter registration, giveaways and invited people to a Commit to Vote event at our Portland store. At this event, everyone who signed a commit to vote form was entered to win a retro cruiser bike. Rejuvenation employees who volunteered to work at these events (which were held during non-regular work hours) received their regular pay.

In addition, Rejuvenation has displayed creative Get Out the Vote signage in its Portland and Seattle stores and Get Out the Vote fliers have been inserted into all national product shipments, reaching another several thousand people outside of the Pacific Northwest.

A Get Out the Vote web page was created that includes a message from Rejuvenation founder Jim Kelly about the importance of voting, and it includes a link to online voter registration (provided through our partnership with Working Assets). Rejuvenation's president and CEO Mary Roberts sent a letter to all Rejuvenation employees (233 people) encouraging them all to vote.
