  Seven Things to Do Now
  • Put up voting posters on your premises. There are terrific posters to choose from on our website, and you can download and print them at your nearest copy shop.
  • Ask your staff to ask customers if they are planning to vote, at the cash register, on the phone, or wherever you have contact with customers.
  • Promote the fact that you are, as a local, community business, promoting democracy and participating in community service this way. Consider adding something about Remember to Vote November 2 in your newspaper or local radio advertising or local event presence.
  • Host debate-watching events, political discussion events, political documentary or movie watching events on your premises.
  • Celebrate Election Day! Make sure all of your customers know about November 2 and congratulate them for voting or remind them, if they're in your store, to go and vote. Host an Election Day event or party.
  • Make sure your employees know your time off to vote and volunteer policy. Let them know at staff meetings, in company communications that you are supporting their time off to vote, and if they want to take time off to volunteer, that you are clear about what you are willing to do to support them.
  • Tell Us What You're Doing so that we can inspire other businesses to do the same. Take 5 minutes to write up a profile of your project, send us your logo, and we'll put up your profile on this website.
