In 2004 Voteworks partnered with the November 2
project. This page is about our partnership, and
we've left it up for you to see how these projects
were connected.
Vote. Volunteer. Pass it On.
NOVEMBER 2 is Election Day. But NOVEMBER
2 is more than just a date; it represents the
diversity, strength and optimism of people who believe
in the power of their collective voice.
NOVEMBER 2 is also a national media campaign
created by National Voice, a coalition of organizations and
individuals who believe in the power of democracy and
the wisdom of the American people. Hundreds of non-profit community organizations and socially conscious businesses have united
to promote NOVEMBER 2 as a most important day for all of America's diversity of voters.
The NOVEMBER 2 campaign is designed to do three things: To remind,
and to mobilize 4 million newly registered voters to get out and vote on Election
Day, to recruit and train the 200,000 volunteers needed to help staff non-partisan Get-Out-The-Vote
activities, and to engage all of America in spreading the word about November 2.
The NOVEMBER 2 campaign will create synergy
between and among the many different non-partisan voter
mobilization initiatives that are underway by providing
a unifying "theme" to help tie these efforts
together. Common messages, exciting collaborative events,
and creative materials like t-shirts, hats and posters
all provide a common rallying point for civic engagement
efforts all across America.
The NOVEMBER 2 campaign is making use
of a wide range of new—and traditional—media.
Commercial outlets, public service announcements and paid
advertising include TV, radio, print and billboards. Guerrilla
and viral media strategies like flash animation, websites,
text-messaging, emails, public events, t-shirts, bumper
strips, art gallery shows, bus tours and whatever else
groups can think of will all be found at
November2.org.
A strategic link from November2.org is
electionMatch
an online non-partisan volunteer matching
service for the many thousands of volunteers who know they
want to do something in this election and the many hundreds
of groups who are doing just that.
Businesses can participate in the non-partisan NOVEMBER
2 campaign by displaying NOVEMBER 2 information
online, on-site, and in print. We encourage entitities
to co-brand with us to promote to the vote in every environment.
